The Pardeeville Area Business Association (PABA) is an organization of businesses and business people similar in nature and focus to a chamber of commerce. The PABA is dedicated to enhancing the business climate and economy of the Pardeeville area.
MINUTES OF THE NOVEMBER 7 MEETING OF THE PARDEEVILLE AREA BUSINESS ASSOCIATION. HELD 7 AM WEDNESDAY, NOV. 7 at the On the Way Cafe
Meeting called to order by President Mark Angell. Board members present were: Bob Williams, Wayne Edwards, Darcy Wilkins, Ann Conway, Kelly Mounton, Steve Thompson and Mark Angell
Minutes approved with the change of the meeting date.
No treasurers Report.
Steve Thompson discussed the Ready Set GO program. The Village is going to do a similar project as part of the Master Plan mandated by the State for 2010. The Village Planning Commission will invite group representatives to be a member of this planing process.
Deb Gorsuch, representative of the Pardeeville Lakes Improvement District was unable to attend this meeting but had sent a message by email. Mark Angell presented it. Motion made by Ann Conway, 2nd by Bob Williams to give $500. to the Aerator/Fountain/Lights project. Passed
Ann Conway asked for more brochures to give to Drew Nuesbaum of the Columbia County Visitors Bureau. Bob Williams gave her a case of them.
Discussion on the 2008 Pardeeville Area Promotion folder. Committee of Kelly Moulton, Ann Conway, Kathy Cook and Steve Thompson appointed to prepare options and proposals.
Welcome Baskets were discussed. Discussed make some changes in the program. Steve Thompson wll contact Linda Gustrowsky and work on the details.
Kick-off dinner date was set as Wednesday, January 16 at the Pardeevile Sport Club, Achterburg Archery. Cocktails at 5:30, Dinner at 6. Meal will be catered in. Cost to run in the $12.50 to $15.00 range. Kathy Cook will contact caterers and get prices.
Sign on 51/22 was discussed. Still have three spaces available.
Bob Willaims (429-3214) is doing the lettering on our sign in front of Piggly Wiggly. He is looking for events to be promoted on it. Give him a call.
Next Open Meeting of the board will be at 5:15 pm Dec. 5th at Wild Bill's.
Next General Meeting of the PABA will be Dec 19, 7:00 at On the Way cafe.
